Clarity4Couples Consumer Health Data Privacy Policy
Last updated October 8, 2026 (version 2026-10-08)
1. Why This Policy Exists
Some information you provide to Clarity4Couples may qualify as "consumer health data" under laws including the Washington My Health My Data Act and Nevada Revised Statutes Chapter 603A. Those laws define consumer health data broadly, and they can cover services that help a person learn about or reflect on their mental or emotional wellbeing, even where the service is not health care and is not provided by a health care professional. This policy explains, specifically for that category of information, what we collect, why, who we share it with, and the rights you have. It supplements our general Privacy Policy, which continues to apply to all other information.
Clarity4Couples does not provide medical, clinical, psychological, or therapeutic services. As stated in our Terms of Service, our questionnaires and AI analysis are for self-reflection, self-education, and personal growth only, and are not a diagnosis, treatment, or professional counseling. We publish this policy because the definitions in these laws are broad, not because we hold ourselves out as a health care provider.
2. Categories of Consumer Health Data We Collect
We collect the following categories of information that may qualify as consumer health data. You choose to enter most of it yourself; Section 3 explains what comes from other sources, such as a person who sends you a gift or a Partner Share invitation.
Your written and rated answers to our questionnaires and quizzes. Depending on which questionnaire you choose, these may include reflections on your emotional state, relationship satisfaction, sexual and physical intimacy, substance use, experiences of conflict or harm, and similar personal subjects.
Inferences and written analysis generated from those answers, including the AI analysis produced when you request one.
Your responses to our Partner-Use eligibility screening. Before you can send a quiz or questionnaire to a partner, or buy some questionnaires as a gift, we ask a short set of questions that may touch on safety concerns, legal or custody disputes, and your reasons for wanting to make contact. Your device checks your answers first. If they allow you to continue and you then send the invitation, or go to payment for it or for the gift, they are sent to us, and our servers check them again before it can go ahead. If you go on to send the invitation, or to the payment page for a paid invitation, we store your answers to the questions you were asked with that invitation. We do not store the screening's result, and we do not store the answers you give when you buy a gift. If your device finds that your answers do not allow it, nothing from the screening is sent to us; if our servers find that, we refuse the invitation or gift without storing your answers.
Information indicating that you are seeking a service intended to help you reflect on or improve your emotional or relational wellbeing, which can include the simple fact that you hold an account, purchased a particular questionnaire, or completed a particular quiz, including one someone sent you.
Records of how you use your account: when you signed in, the IP address, approximate location, and browser or device each sign-in came from, and whether the second sign-in step succeeded; what you bought and when; when you submitted answers and when AI analyses were generated for you; changes to your AI analysis credits; and which kinds of email we sent you and when.
We do not collect precise geolocation data, biometric data, genetic data, or medical records, and we do not purchase consumer health data from third parties.
3. How We Collect It
Most consumer health data we hold comes directly from you: what you enter into our questionnaires and quizzes, what we derive from it, and the purchases you make. If you answer the first section of a questionnaire before creating an account, those answers stay in your browser and we do not receive them until you create an account, accept this policy and save them. Our sign-in service, run for us by Amazon Web Services, records each sign-in to your account, as described in Section 2. Some comes from others: if you accept a gift or a Partner Share invitation, the person who sent it will have given us your email address and chosen which questionnaire or quiz to send you, and, for a Partner Share, their answers to our eligibility screening can describe their relationship with you; and our payment processor tells us whether a payment was authorized or succeeded, the date by which an authorized payment must be charged, whether an authorization was cancelled or expired before it was charged, whether a payment was later refunded or disputed, and how any dispute was decided. We do not obtain consumer health data from data brokers, from public sources, from your device sensors, or by tracking your activity on other websites. We do not run third-party analytics or advertising tags on our website, and we do not use tracking pixels. The only third-party component our own pages load in your browser is our customer support chat widget, from Zoho, described in Section 5; our checkout pages, and the billing portal where you manage a membership, are provided by our payment processor, Stripe, on its own website. Apart from Zoho through that widget; Amazon Web Services, which runs our website, our sign-in service, and the firewall described below for us; and Stripe on its checkout and billing pages, which collects details of your browser and device there and uses information it gathers across the businesses that use Stripe to prevent fraud, no third party collects data about your use of our website over time or across other websites.
Separately, we count visits to our own pages so that we can understand how people find us, whether our website is working, and how well our own advertising works. For each visit we record the first page you land on, but only if it is one of a fixed set of our public pages (any other page is recorded simply as another page); the hour of the visit; where the visit came from, such as an advertisement, a search engine, another website, an email, or a direct visit; for a visit from an advertisement or another link we have tagged, the campaign, ad set, ad, and placement identifiers the link carries; and how far the visit got through our quizzes and through the first section of a questionnaire that can be answered before you have an account, recorded only as yes-or-no steps, such as whether you were shown the questions, whether you started answering, whether you finished, and whether you chose to save your answers. That record is labeled with a random reference that your browser creates for the current tab and discards when you close it; we keep that reference only as the record's label. The record does not include your IP address, your device details, or anything you entered, we do not attempt to link it to you, and we delete it within a day after it is 30 days old.
We also keep a cookie in your browser that carries the source and campaign label of your visit. Everyone who arrived the same way carries an identical label, so the cookie does not identify you. It lasts up to 90 days, and when you arrive on a later visit we read it only to decide whether that visit's source should replace it. If, while it lasts, you first accept this policy for a new account, or start a purchase, in that browser, we use the label to add one to that source's daily count of sign-ups or, once the purchase is paid, of purchases, and to add the amount paid to its daily revenue. To credit a purchase, we store the label with the open checkout, and we delete it when the payment is made or, if it is not, within a day after it is 7 days old. Apart from the firewall records described below, which keep the address of each page requested, including any campaign tags in a link you followed, alongside the IP address for 30 days, we do not store any other link between you and a campaign: the daily totals say nothing about who signed up or bought, and your account and purchase records do not say how you found us.
Our website and our sign-in pages also sit behind a firewall, a service of our hosting provider, Amazon Web Services, that screens every request to them. For each request it records when the request was made and whether the firewall allowed it; the IP address the request came from and that address's country; the address requested, which can name a quiz or questionnaire and can include any campaign tags in a link you followed or, if you follow the unsubscribe link in one of our promotional emails, your email address; the address of the page that linked to it, where the browser provides one; and the other details your browser sends with a request, such as its description of itself, its language, and a fingerprint of how it connects -- but not your cookies or sign-in token. Records made on or before September 25, 2026 can also include the cookies your browser sent and, for a signed-in request, your sign-in token, which carries your name and email address. We keep these records for 30 days and use them only to protect the Services and keep them working; those older records reach the end of that period by October 25, 2026 and are then deleted automatically.
4. How We Use It
We use consumer health data only to: provide the questionnaire and quiz experience you requested, including checking what you have bought and whether you have a membership where a feature requires one; process the payments for, and deliver, the purchases you make; generate an AI analysis when you specifically request one, or, for answers you have approved sharing through our Partner Share feature, when the person you shared them with requests one, and apply an AI analysis credit; store your answers so that you can return to them, revise them, and track your reflections over time; check your answers to our Partner-Use eligibility screening before an invitation or gift can go ahead, and again when you correct an invitation's recipient; send the emails that go with your use of the Services, including receipts, notices before a membership renews, gift and Partner Share invitations and notifications, and reminders about a gift or Partner Share invitation you sent or received that has not yet been claimed or opened; when you confirm your email address to create an account, which happens before we ask you to accept this policy, send you a welcome email with a one-time discount code, have our payment processor create that code, and keep the record described in Section 7 so that the discount is issued only once for each email address; provide a benefit that comes with a purchase you choose to make, such as a membership period included with a promotional questionnaire purchase, and send you the notices and reminders about it, except that we stop reminding you to claim a benefit if you opt out of promotional email; keep the record of your agreement to a membership's automatic renewal described in Section 7, to show that you agreed; apply the refund rules in Section 8 of our Terms of Service to a purchase you made, including checking whether you have already received a refund for the same questionnaire or had a payment for it reversed through your bank or card issuer, whether a gift or Partner Share invitation you sent has been claimed or opened, and whether you have started an AI analysis since the purchase -- of your own Self-Use answers to that questionnaire or, for a purchase of AI analysis credits, any AI analysis -- and telling you before you pay when a purchase would be final from the start, and before you confirm an analysis which of your purchases it would make final; respond to a payment dispute (chargeback) of a purchase you made and act on its outcome, and, if we contest the dispute, whatever its reason, give our payment processor, to pass to your card issuer, a record containing your name, email address, and IP address, the date, amount, and our reference number of the purchase with a general description of what we sell, the text of Section 8 of our Terms of Service with the version of our Terms you accepted and when, and a timeline of your account's activity -- when you created the account, when you accepted each of our policies, when you signed in (with the IP address, approximate location, and second-factor result of each sign-in), when you made the purchase and when access was granted, when you submitted answers and when AI analyses were generated for you, when your AI analysis credits changed, by how much, the kind of change, and the resulting balance, which kinds of email we sent you and when, any refund of the purchase, and when we recorded the chargeback -- with times, amounts, and counts but never your answers, the text of any analysis, or the name of any questionnaire; check the quality of AI analyses automatically, using measurements our software takes of each analysis as it is generated and stores with it, without anyone reading your answers or the analysis; count visits to our pages and add up, in daily totals for each advertising campaign or other source of visits, the sign-ups, purchases, and revenue each one led to, as described in Section 3; derive the aggregate statistics described below and use them to improve the Services, to develop new questionnaires, and to understand how people find us and how well our own advertising works; keep the Services secure and working and protect the people who use them, including limiting how often invitations and emails can be sent, investigating security incidents and other problems, correcting data-integrity problems, and complying with our legal obligations; respond to your support requests and to requests you make under Section 6; show the person who sent you a gift or Partner Share invitation how far it has got, as described in Section 5, and use that when we apply the refund rules in Section 8 of our Terms of Service to their purchase; and deliver your answers to a partner when, and only when, you have expressly chosen to share them through our Partner Share feature.
We do not use consumer health data to target or personalize advertising on other websites or platforms, we never share it, or any figure derived from it, with advertising platforms or anyone acting for them, and we do not use it to build marketing profiles; the only promotional emails it affects are the welcome email and the emails about a benefit you have earned with a purchase, described above. We do not use it to make decisions that produce legal or similarly significant effects about you, such as decisions about credit, housing, insurance, education, employment, or health care. Our refund rules are fixed rules, set out in our Terms of Service, and we apply them as written.
How we obtain your consent. As part of creating your account, and before you can use it, we ask you to review and accept this Consumer Health Data Privacy Policy as a separate, affirmative step, distinct from accepting our Terms of Service and our general Privacy Policy. We ask for a second, separate confirmation at the moment you choose to share your answers with a partner. You may withdraw your consent to collection at any time by emailing support@clarity4couples.com. Withdrawing it means you will no longer be able to use the questionnaires and quizzes in your account, so we stop collecting your answers and generating analyses there; when you withdraw, we will ask whether you also want the consumer health data we hold deleted under Section 6 and, if you hold a membership, whether you want it cancelled. Until your account is closed, we still keep the records of how you use it described in Section 2, such as your sign-ins, the emails we send you, and the payments of any membership that continues. Withdrawing does not delete the records listed in Section 7, and does not stop us from giving our payment processor the record described above if you later dispute a charge and we contest it. You may withdraw your approval to share your answers with a partner at any time by emailing us, or by choosing Withdraw access beside that Partner Share on your dashboard. Withdrawing it stops that person from seeing your answers and deletes any AI analysis they made of them, but it cannot take back anything they have already seen.
Separately, we derive aggregate statistics -- for example, how many people completed a particular section, or how many sign-ups and purchases came from a particular advertising campaign on a given day -- and use them to improve the Services, to develop new questionnaires, and to understand how people find us and how well our own advertising works. They do not contain your responses and are not designed to identify anyone. While our numbers are small, though, a daily total such as one purchase from one campaign could in principle be matched to an individual purchase in our own records, so we treat these statistics as confidential: we keep them internal, use them only for the purposes described in this section, never share them with advertising platforms, and do not attempt to link them, or the visit records described in Section 3, to any person.
5. How We Share It
We do not sell consumer health data. We have never sold consumer health data, and we would not do so without first obtaining your separate, written authorization as those laws require.
The categories of consumer health data we share are the same categories we collect, as listed in Section 2 above. We share them only with service providers who process the data on our behalf, under contract, and only as needed to operate the Services, and with the other recipients identified below. Anthropic, your card issuer, and the people involved in a gift or Partner Share are not our service providers, and their entries say why they receive what they do. Where a service provider also uses what it receives for purposes of its own, its entry says so. The categories of third parties, the specific providers and other recipients in each, and what each receives, are:
Cloud infrastructure and data storage -- Amazon Web Services. Your answers are stored in encrypted form in our database, which runs on Amazon Web Services, as do our sign-in service and the firewall and server records described in Sections 3 and 7.
AI analysis -- Amazon Bedrock, an Amazon Web Services product. When you request an analysis, we send it the questionnaire's title, its section titles and questions, and your answers, without your name, your email address, or any identifier for your account. Anything you wrote in your answers is sent as you wrote it, so if an answer names someone, that name is sent too. If you approve sharing your answers to a questionnaire with the person who sent you a Partner Share, that person can request an AI analysis of your answers, which sends them to Amazon Bedrock in the same way. Amazon Bedrock may check requests automatically for use that breaks its policies or those of the model's provider. For the model we currently use, Amazon Bedrock does not store what we send it or the analysis it returns, and no Amazon operator can access them, except that content its automated checks flag as apparent child sexual abuse material may be stored and reviewed so that it can be reported as the law requires. Amazon Bedrock does not pass what we send it, or the analysis, to the model's provider, Anthropic.
Payment processing -- Stripe. For each purchase, Stripe receives your email address, what you bought, including the name of any questionnaire, and an internal reference to your account; for a gift or Partner Share purchase, it also receives the recipient's email address and which questionnaire you are sending. When you confirm your email address to create an account, we also have Stripe create a single-use welcome discount code for you, labeled with an internal reference to your account, unless one has been created for that email address before. If you dispute a charge and we contest the dispute, Stripe receives the record described in Section 4. Stripe never receives your answers. Stripe also uses payment information for purposes of its own, such as preventing fraud, keeping its services secure and improving them, and complying with the law, under its own privacy policy.
Your card issuer, only if you dispute a charge and we contest the dispute -- the record described in Section 4, passed on by our payment processor.
Email delivery -- Amazon Simple Email Service, which transmits the emails we send to you and to any recipient you designate.
Customer support -- Zoho, which hosts our support tickets and support chat. Anything you write to us in a support conversation is stored there. The support chat widget is not loaded when you open one of our public quiz pages directly, but if you go to one from another of our pages, the widget already running in that browser tab can keep running. It is not loaded on the page where you answer the first section of a questionnaire before creating an account, or in a browser tab that holds those answers before they are saved. Wherever it runs, Zoho can see the address of the page you are on, which can name a quiz or questionnaire, and it sets its own cookies to operate the widget.
Operations support -- Anthropic, which provides the AI assistant (Claude) our staff use to build, maintain, and support the Services. Anthropic is not a service provider acting on our behalf: we use its assistant under Anthropic's consumer terms, with the setting that lets Anthropic use conversations to improve its models turned off. When our staff use it to investigate a problem, check how the Services are working, look up or list accounts for one of the purposes in Section 4, answer a support request, or respond to a request under Section 6, it can receive records such as your name, email address, mobile phone number, and IP address, when you created your account and signed in, what you have bought, and whether you hold a membership, sometimes as part of a list covering many accounts, and, for a support request, what you wrote to us. Our staff do not use it to read your answers or the text of any analysis, and do not send Anthropic feedback about conversations that involve your records. Anthropic keeps and uses what it receives under its own terms and privacy policy. They say that it removes a deleted conversation from its systems within 30 days; that it may keep a conversation its automated systems flag as breaking its usage policy for up to two years, review it, and, even with that setting turned off, use it to train its models, for example to improve their ability to detect harmful content; that it keeps the scores those systems assign for up to seven years; and that it keeps anything sent to it as feedback for five years and may use that to train its models too. We do not delete these conversations on any set schedule.
The person you send a gift or Partner Share invitation to -- we tell them your first name and which questionnaire or quiz you sent them, in the invitation and in any reminders, and a Partner Share recipient who accepts the invitation also receives your email address in their account.
The person who sent you a gift or Partner Share invitation -- a gift's sender can learn whether you have claimed it, and a Partner Share's sender can see how far the invitation has got: whether it is waiting to be opened, in progress, finished and awaiting your approval, approved (and when), or kept private, and whether you later withdrew your approval or, after finishing, deleted your account. They do not see your answers unless you approve sharing them, as described below.
Another individual, only at your direction -- if you use Partner Share, the answers you choose to share are disclosed to the specific person you designate. This never happens automatically. A recipient's own answers are disclosed to the sender only if that recipient affirmatively approves it.
We may also disclose consumer health data if required by law, court order, or governmental request, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of Clarity4Couples, our users, or others.
6. Your Rights Regarding Consumer Health Data
You have the right to confirm whether we are collecting, sharing, or selling your consumer health data, and to access that data, including a list of all third parties with whom we have shared it. That list includes an active email address or other online mechanism you can use to contact each of them.
You have the right to withdraw your consent to our collection and sharing of your consumer health data.
You have the right to have your consumer health data deleted.
If you exercise your right to delete, we will delete your consumer health data from our active systems within 30 days of your request, except the records listed in Section 7, and from our routine encrypted backups no later than six months after your request. When you delete your account from your account settings, you can cancel for just under 30 days after your request; the deletion is scheduled for the end of that period and is complete within 30 days of your request. Deletion is permanent and cannot be undone. This is consistent with how we handle account deletion generally, as described in our Privacy Policy.
While your account is active, you can review your answers to our questionnaires in your account, and change them where the questionnaire allows. To ask about any other consumer health data we hold about you, contact us as described below.
To exercise any of these rights, email support@clarity4couples.com from the email address on your account, or write to us using the contact details in Section 9. We will respond within 45 days of receiving your request, and may extend that period by a further 45 days where reasonably necessary, in which case we will tell you, and why, before the first period ends. We will not discriminate against you for exercising any of these rights.
If we deny your request, we will tell you why in writing and explain how to appeal. You may appeal by replying to our decision. We will respond to an appeal within 45 days. If we deny the appeal, we will provide you with a method to contact the Attorney General to submit a complaint: the Washington State Attorney General if you live in Washington, or the Nevada Office of the Attorney General if you live in Nevada.
7. How Long We Keep It
We retain consumer health data for as long as your account remains active, so that your answers remain available to you. If you ask us to delete your consumer health data under Section 6, or ask us to delete your account generally, we permanently delete it, except the records listed below. Both routes reach the same outcome: your questionnaire and quiz responses, your Partner-Use screening answers, and any AI analysis generated from them are deleted from our active systems within 30 days of your request and from our backups within six months. We do not keep a de-identified copy of your responses after deletion.
We also keep a log of the emails we send. It identifies each address only by a keyed hash of it, and records the kind of email, when it was sent, and, for a receipt, a notice before a membership renews, or an email your account caused us to send, an internal reference to your account. Each entry is deleted within a day after it is 30 days old, except our record that we emailed you a receipt for a purchase, or a notice before your membership renewed -- a keyed hash of your email address, an internal reference to your account, the kind of email, and when -- which we keep for 540 days after we sent it, and delete within a day after that, so that we can show it if the payment is disputed. When your account is deleted, we delete at the same time the entries for your email address, your receipts and renewal notices, and the entries for emails your account caused us to send, such as invitations you sent to others; any other entry for an address you had changed away from is deleted on the schedule above instead.
Some records are kept after your account is deleted. Apart from anything you wrote to us in a support conversation, and any copy of it in the staff work records described below, none of them contains your answers:
Payment records. Our payment processor retains the record of what you purchased, which we retain for tax and financial-regulation purposes. It shows which questionnaire, membership, or AI analysis credits were bought, with your email address, our internal reference to your account, the name and billing details you entered at checkout, and, for a gift or Partner Share purchase, the recipient's email address. Our payment processor also keeps any welcome discount code created for your account. If we ever refused a duplicate membership subscription for your account, we also keep our own record of it: our payment processor's references to that subscription, to the one we kept, and to you as its customer, our internal reference to your account, why we refused it, and when we cancelled and refunded it. If you disputed a charge, we keep the material we prepared for the dispute, and if we contested it, our payment processor keeps what we sent it.
Gifts and Partner Share invitations you received. The sender's account keeps its record of each one -- your email address, which questionnaire or quiz it was, and how far it got, such as whether it was claimed, finished, approved, or kept private, and, for a Partner Share, the sender's own answers to our eligibility screening, which can describe their relationship with you -- for as long as the sender's account exists. Your answers are deleted with your account; if you had finished a Partner Share, the sender is told that you deleted your account and that your answers were deleted with it.
A record of a deletion carried out by our staff. If our staff delete an account directly, rather than through the deletion option in your account settings -- for example, because you asked us to delete it without waiting -- we keep a record that the deletion was carried out: a one-way hash of the account's email address, our internal reference to the account, the reason, who carried it out, and when. The hash does not contain the address, but it lets us confirm whether an account with a given email address was deleted.
A record of your agreement to a membership's automatic renewal. When you start any membership, we keep the wording of the automatic-renewal agreement you accepted, when you accepted it, the plan, the version of any offer terms, our payment processor's references to you as its customer, to the checkout page you used, and to the membership, and when the membership started and ended. It does not include your name, your email address, or our internal reference to your account. Automatic-renewal laws require us to keep it for at least three years after you agree, or one year after the membership ends, whichever is later, so we keep it for that long even if your account is deleted, and then delete it.
A record of our welcome discount. We keep the email address of each new account we created a welcome discount code for, and when, so that the one-time welcome discount is not issued again if the same address is used to create a new account. This record has no set end date.
Support conversations. Any support conversations you have had with us stay in our support system, still associated with the email address you used, as our Privacy Policy describes.
Our staff's work records. If our staff looked up your account, or listed accounts including yours, while working with the AI assistant described in Section 5, what they looked up, and anything you wrote to us that they worked on there, can remain in the records of that work after your account is deleted: on our staff's computers, and with Anthropic under its own privacy policy, as described in Section 5. These records have no set end date.
Sign-in history. Our sign-in service, run for us by Amazon Web Services, keeps the history of sign-ins to your account described in Section 2 for up to two years. Once your account is deleted we can no longer read that history, but the sign-in service may keep it until those two years end.
Operating records that expire on their own. The firewall records described in Section 3 and our servers' operating logs are kept for 30 days, and our records of administrative actions in our systems for 400 days; each is then deleted automatically, normally within a few days. These can include your IP address, your name and email address, the addresses of pages you requested, an internal reference to your account, and, where our staff have looked up an account, details from its account and purchase records, such as which questionnaire or membership was bought. They are deleted on that schedule rather than when your account is deleted.
Aggregate statistics described in Section 4 are not changed when an account is deleted.
8. Who Is Responsible
Clarity4Couples is the entity responsible for the consumer health data described in this policy. We do not permit staff to browse customer responses. A small number of authorized personnel can technically access stored data where strictly necessary to operate the Services -- for example to investigate a security incident, correct a data-integrity problem, or comply with a legal obligation. Any such access is limited to those personnel and, when they work with it, the AI assistant described in Section 5; the fact that it took place in our systems on Amazon Web Services is recorded in our audit log (apart from reading the record of our welcome discount described in Section 7), and it is used only for the purposes described in Section 4. We have no affiliates with whom consumer health data is shared.
9. Contact Us
For any question about this policy, or to exercise any right described in Section 6, contact us at support@clarity4couples.com, or write to us at: Clarity4Couples, 1323 SE 17th Street, #161, Fort Lauderdale, FL 33316, United States.
10. Changes to This Policy
When we change this policy, we publish the new version on this page with a new date at the top. If a change affects what consumer health data we collect, how we use it, or who we share it with, we also ask you to review and accept the new version, and until you do, you cannot continue to use the questionnaires and quizzes through your account. This version, 2026-10-08, is effective October 8, 2026.
