What should you talk about before moving in together?
Moving in together changes a relationship more than most couples expect, mostly through small, daily things. The conversations worth having first are practical ones: how money and rent will work, how much time alone each of you needs, who does which chores, and what the move means to each of you. That last one matters most. For one person it can be a step towards marriage, for the other a way to save on rent, and finding that out afterwards is hard.

What the move means
Start with the big question before the logistics: why are you doing this, and where do each of you think it is heading? A timeline towards engagement or children, a trial run, a practical decision, or simply the next natural step.
There is no right answer, but the two of you should know each other's. Assumptions that go unspoken here tend to surface later as resentment.
Money
Decide how rent and bills will be split, especially if your incomes differ. Equal shares, shares in proportion to income, and one person covering more in exchange for something else can all work, as long as both of you chose it.
It is also worth talking about debt, savings habits and how you each feel about spending. Different money styles are one of the most common sources of friction in a shared home.
Space, time and chores
How much time alone does each of you need, and where will it happen? How often will friends or family stay? What does a clean kitchen mean to each of you?
These sound small. They are the things couples actually argue about once they share a front door, and agreeing a rough plan early is much easier than renegotiating after habits have set.
If it does not work
Nobody likes this conversation, but it is kinder to have it now. Whose name is on the lease? Who would stay? How would shared things be divided?
Talking about it does not make it more likely. It means that if the relationship ever ends, the practical side will not make it worse.
